Overtime approval types and what they mean
If a teammate is to work overtime, this needs to be Requested. A manager can then Approve the request if they are happy with the additional time to be worked. The request will then be pending as Booked until the date and time of the initial request have passed. The status will then change to Worked. The manager will then confirm that the overtime has been worked and is ready to pay.
There may be instances when managers need further information or do not want to approve an overtime request for whatever reason. In these cases, the following can be used:
- Query – you can request further information, justification or correction to an overtime request. Once you have queried, the teammate will be notified.
- Reject – this will notify the teammate requesting overtime that their request has been rejected and the reason for that rejection.
